Yuma Area Housing Opportunity Inc. is a non profit corporation that offers affordable housing in Yuma, Arizona for  families and seniors with low income. We are a project based HUD Section 8 program, meaning that our application process and paperwork are for our apartment complexes only. We are not a part of the HUD Section 8 Voucher program and therefore do not accept vouchers. Our apartments are HUD Section 8 Project Based  where the government pays subsidy towards your rent, for qualifying applicants based on income. Income limits are set by HUD and for those who qualify, the tenant portion of rent will be 30% of tenant's adjusted gross income.

If you are a senior aged 62 or over, or if you have mobility impairment, you could qualify for an apartment at  LM Kelly Apartments, located at 721 E 24th Street Yuma, AZ 85365. (Top picture) LM Kelly Apartments have 1 bedroom apartments only, with a maximum occupancy of 2 people.

If you are a family of between 2 and 6 members, you may qualify at James E Jefferson Manor, located at 1350 W 5th Street Yuma AZ 85364. (Bottom picture) James E Jefferson Manor has 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. ALL UTILITIES PAID!
